Michael's passion and process for designing user-centered interfaces has help numerous organizations achieve remarkable improvements in customer experience as well as employee productivity. His industry expertise spans defense, education, financial services, insurance, retail and software.

He has led several redesign efforts and is especially adept at performing contextual inquiries, requirements analysis, interaction design, usability testing and prototyping. Some of Michael’s notable experience includes:

• Usability testing and evaluation for a strategic retirement planning tool
• Redesign of a large, international supplier portal with over 300 applications
• Design of a college cost savings calculator
• Creating enterprise online design guidelines
• Conducting user research for kiosk and online sales of broadband products.

Throughout is career Michael has consulted with Harvard Law School, Hewlett-Packard, PictureTel, Omgeo, OneBeacon Insurance and Scholastic, among others.

Michael earned a BS in Computer Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He is an active member of the Usability Professionals’ Association and the Greater Boston Special Interest Group on Computer Human Interaction.
