Nick Iozzo

Rich internet applications expert

With over a decade of user-centered design experience, Nick leverages a broad and deep understanding of usability and cognitive design. He has a special interest in “object-oriented specifications”—a technique he helped develop to document complex and rich internet applications.

 

Nick was instrumental in defining the user experience architect role for TandemSeven and is responsible for leading the development and refinement of the company’s T7 Experience-Centered Design Methodology.

As a strategic Internet consultant, Nick has been involved with design and usability testing of over seventy portals, web sites and business applications. He is expert in designing both business-to-business and business-to-consumer eCommerce applications that result in significant business process improvement for clients.

Nick’s industry expertise spans eCommerce, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, publishing and retail. His career accomplishments include designing the first eCommerce sites for Hallmark and Victoria’s Secret. More recently, Nick designed a platform for Orbitz Worldwide. The rich internet application supports any Western language or currency while adhering to European and U.S. accessibility standards.

Nick actively presents at industry conferences and forums on the importance of usability and the Web, and has been interviewed by Forrester, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune and Chicagoland Television network. He is also a frequent guest lecturer on designing usability into Internet applications.

Nick earned a MS degree in Engineering Psychology and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
