Vice President of Sales

TandemSeven is seeking a vice president-level sales professional to assist in our expansion to the San Francisco area. The desired candidate will have significant experience selling consulting projects and/or software for complex business applications and portals to Fortune 1000 companies.

The role requires a senior professional who is comfortable with hands-on activities, including all phases of the sales cycle, supporting various marketing activities, participating in recruiting efforts and identifying and interviewing appropriate subcontractor candidates when needed. The Vice President of Sales will use a consultative sales approach while striving the build long-term partnerships with clients. Additionally, ongoing support of internal activities includes quality assurance of deliverables, ensuring accuracy of invoicing and revenue forecasting.

Qualifications

  • A minimum 8 years of relevant career experience in sales of IT or business consulting or marketing services, including 3 years of sales experience in design/usability consulting services to large, Fortune1000 companies. 
  • Must be able to lead and participate in all aspects of the sales cycle from lead
    generation, scoping of opportunities, development of project plans and estimates, writing and preparation of proposals, presentations, statements of work and client contracts. 
  • Must have a demonstrated and successful track record in relationship-based revenue generation. 
  • Must have a proven contact base and live in the San Francisco area with unrestricted ability to travel. 
  • Ability to schedule meetings with prospects, develop sales strategies, and work with TandemSeven management team to secure resources and properly qualify and price opportunities. 
  • Generate new business from the sales professional’s contact base as well as from leads resulting from marketing efforts. 
  • Strong business development network in the Bay Area in the following industries: consulting services, web/internet design, software and manufacturing. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree.
