Giant Eagle’s business units developed several internal and external Web sites with no consistent standards, unified infrastructure or proven business case. The company retained TandemSeven to identify innovative user features and develop a clear business strategy to help convert the existing sites from cost centers to profit centers.

TandemSeven employed its user-centered design methodology to identify areas for improvement, including new customer features and functions. Next, the team leveraged contextual inquiry and competitive analysis findings to design a new Giant Eagle site that accommodates multiple branded business units. In addition to providing the wireframes, visual layouts and visual designs, TandemSeven helped Giant Eagle manage its media plan and marketing initiatives to increase market penetration in all targeted demographic and geographic markets.
