How to document and specify screens whose functionality greatly varies by business logic or rich interactions has been a reoccurring topic on the IxDA mailing list. During this talk, attendees will see a technique that has been used to completely design and document a screen with over one million possible configurations. The presenter will focus on the foundations of the technique, enabling attendees to easily adapt it to their own purposes. Lessons learned and how the technique can be used to form a strong working relationship with developers and QA groups will be highlighted.

About the presenter
With extensive user-centered design experience, Nick Iozzo leverages a broad and deep understanding of usability and cognitive design. He has a special interest in “object-oriented specifications”—a technique he helped develop to document complex and rich internet applications. Nick is currently the director of methodology for TandemSeven and one of the IxDA local leaders in Chicago. Learn more about Nick.
