Boston, MA., October 10, 2006 - TandemSeven, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in the usability and design of complex portals and applications, today announced the launch of its Toronto-based consulting practice, led by Ms. JoAnne Wang and Dr. Paul Eisen. Both are experts in the field of human factors and usability as applied to the design of complex business applications for major national and global corporations. TandemSeven’s most recent expansion to the Canadian market is a key step in the company’s growth of its North American client base.
“Canada, and especially Toronto, is a critical market for our global client base,” stated Frank Torbey, Chief Executive Officer. “Many of our current client projects have brought us to Canada, and we decided it was time to invest in expanding delivery capabilities to be closer to our clients. We view Toronto and Canada as being critical to our future growth.”
TandemSeven’s Toronto team has extensive experience designing complex portals for large corporations, including design of Wall Street trading systems, a comprehensive clinical trials portal for a major pharmaceutical company, a global corporate portal for a major consumer products company, and ground breaking e-business applications for a major Canadian bank, including crafting the user experience for the highest penetration first-generation consumer-banking application in Canada.
Most recently, Ms. Wang designed a strategic international application for a leading online travel company. She stated, “There are few companies in Canada providing true user-centered design services, focused specifically on complex software applications.”
TandemSeven’s user experience architects apply their mastery of the user-centred design process to craft user experiences consistent with our client’s business objectives. Dr. Paul Eisen asserts, “TandemSeven’s ability to streamline business applications and portals for maximum productivity and effectiveness will give our Canadian clients a clear competitive edge over their counterparts.” Dr. Eisen recently led the design of a corporate portal for one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies.
