TandemSeven's David Clark to Deliver Keynote Presentation at ASUG New England Chapter Meeting

Boston, MA., January 14, 2005 - David Clark, Design Director for TandemSeven, was a featured speaker at the first quarter ASUG New England Chapter meeting that was held on January 13 at Bose Corporation's headquarters in Framingham, MA. Clark co-presented with Hasbro Director Steve O'Brien. Clark recently led an effort to design and develop a role-based sales analytics portal application for point of sale data for Hasbro Corporation. The presentation, entitled 'Using SAP BW to Deliver Business Intelligence over the Web', was the keynote presentation for the event.

Key topics the presentation addressed included:

  • Techniques for role-based analysis and design of dynamic user interface 
  • Use of Operational Data Stores, Infosets, and multi-providers to meet specific data model requirements 
  • Use of JavaScript for persistent application display state management and dynamic show/hide and filtering of BEx tables 
  • Data display customization using ABAP OO classes 
  • Customized navigation and interaction within BEx tables using ABAP OO generated buttons and links 
  • Performance optimization techniques for working with large datasets in web-based BW applications 

In addition, the presentation explained designing a data model and BEx Queries for optimum display in custom Web Application Designer applications, extending BEx Table Displays on the web with ABAP OO classes, and creating JavaScript-based control bars to navigate SAP BW data.
