TandemSeven featured at 2003 SAP BW and Portals show

Orlando, FL., March 24, 2003 - TandemSeven, a firm specializing in portal and e-business application design and architecture, today announced its participation as presenter and exhibitor at the 2003 SAP BW and Portals conference in Orlando.

TandemSeven's CEO, Frank Torbey, and a Global 1000 client will co-present 'Architecting SAP Enterprise Portal into a Multi-Platform Application Infrastructure.' Key topics the presentation will address include:

  • Value achieved by architecting the Portal layer and enabling new views into existing applications and new application architecture
  • Defining the Portal layer. Where does the portal begin and end? 
  • Integrating SAP Enterprise Portal with IBM WebSphere and Lotus Domino 
  • Utilizing Web Services for leveraging existing applications
  • Integrating other application services (e.g. single sign-on, CMS).

TandemSeven's client has been very successful leveraging several key application platforms including SAP R3 for enterprise applications, IBM WebSphere for Web-based J2EE applications, and Lotus Domino for groupware and custom applications.In addition, standards have been set for security, EAI and content management.The portal provides a natural point of convergence across the multiple applications platforms at this company. The presentation focused on the architecture of the portal layer of an enterprise application infrastructure. TandemSeven has been working with this company for the past year on this initiative, and has provided architecture and development expertise.
