About the Presenters

Shawn O'Brien, Product Designer, Thomson CompuMark
Shawn is a lead Product Designer for Thomson CompuMark and has been with the company for more than 12 years. He recently served as Senior Product Manager, creating and managing an extensive array of online and paper-based research products. Shawn’s product development experience is based on user-centered design practices, including contextual inquiry. He has extensive experience managing the customer experience around the adoption of online workflow tools. Shawn is currently working on extending the next-generation user environment across all of Thomson CompuMark’s key products.

Dave Clark, Vice President, Design Director, TandemSeven
Dave co-founded TandemSeven and is responsible for shaping the company’s design capability. He is the driving force behind TandemSeven’s mission to ensure the company provides its clients with outstanding user experiences, starting with a user-centered foundation and extending through to a seamless brand experience across all interaction points. His strong focus on delivering high quality, intuitive user experiences has enabled the company to build an impressive client list. As associate professor, Dave taught information design at the Rhode Island School of Design where he earned a BFA in Industrial Design. He also earned a BA in Government from Dartmouth College.
