Large Wealth Management Firm: Multi-Year Partnership spanning experience strategy through deployment and everything in between

Large Wealth Management Firm: Multi-Year Partnership spanning experience strategy through deployment and everything in between

The Challenge:

Continual adaptation to evolving needs and delivery models

Join work streams in progress. Partner with other vendors. Work with different product owners with distinct working processes. Translate PowerPoint strategies to concepts and working prototypes. Redesign and streamline extremely complex workflows. Apply previously acquired institutional knowledge to fast moving product development initiatives. Coalesce learnings from 30+ projects into cohesive design systems. Adapt methodologies to fit changing business drivers and aggressive timelines.

The Approach:

Ongoing process and team model refinement

TandemSeven’s delivery approach quickly evolved into an iterative, concept driven working model. This high touch model involved frequent collaborative working sessions (whiteboard and virtual). We found that by working earlier in the process we were able to speed up the product definition by helping to visualize requirements as they were being defined and refined. This allowed the business teams to make more informed decisions way in advance of user acceptance or product deployment. Innovations in access to user populations and low fidelity prototypes allowed earlier and more frequent engagement with end users.

The Result:

8 year relationship (and counting …)

With the longevity of a trust-based relationship, the joint team was able to focus on the most productive methods and innovative tools and techniques. This resulted in many efficiencies that are simply impossible with the stop/start of typical consulting engagements. Ultimately a large number of initiatives were able to be put into production. Several of these were not merely point solutions, but rather fully transformed platforms with associated design systems. Examples include:

  • Global research portal to facilitate investment decisions
  • Advisory Platform – suite of managed account solutions
  • Customer acquisition and profile & portfolio construction
  • Integrated source of profile, performance, client relationship management data

Evolution of internal UX team working model. Impact on product development lifecycle. Participation in business and go to market strategy definition. Persistent team members able to provide depth and context to new initiatives.
