We are currently seeking a Product Development Manager in the Boston metro area.

TandemSeven is a leading digital experience firm. As a leading innovator in this market TandemSeven created one of the industry’s first enterprise SaaS products for customer journey mapping. Be part of a growing team in an emerging billion-dollar marketplace. TandemSeven is looking for someone manage a lean, high performance team of developers spread across onshore and offshore locations. Our product is a web based Software as a Service application with an open source Java portal-based backend and HTML/CSS/Javascript front-end. The Development Manger will manage different streams of work for all developers with daily standups and roughly one month release cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development goals and team personnel for a team of less than 10 developers located in three global locations: US(Boston), India, and Latin America.
  • Run the daily standup.
  • Co-create the product roadmap with product team leadership.
  • Help determine the most effective architectural approaches to match timeline and product feature goals.
  • Create user stories for developers and manage the story/issue list.
  • Help determine release strategy and timeline.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year college degree, Computer Science or engineering.
  • The successful candidate should have strong development skills and a willingness to work on a small team of cross-disciplinary UX and development professionals. The candidate should have a strong desire to grow and be challenged.
  • 5+ years experience managing a development team.
  • 5+ years of Java and OO Analysis and Design experience.
  • 5+ years experience with the full SDLC including version control, release management, and build management.
  • Knowledge of MVC architecture and frameworks (such as Struts or Spring).
  • Work with Java-based Web services, Remote Procedure Calls and HTTP Services.
  • Experience implementing software solutions that utilize HTML5 and latest JavaScript frameworks.
  • Clear written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to help troubleshoot issues and present solution options.
  • Ability to aalyze requirements and test plans and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to build productive relationships across groups and within the technical team.
  • Minimum 4-year college degree, Computer Science or engineering.

  • Exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and accountable.
